Metropolitan Community Church of Tampa (MCC Tampa) is a dynamic and growing Christian Church, located in the heart of Central Tampa. We are in full communion with the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC). We have been serving the Spiritual needs of the GLBT community since 1971 and are proud to be the seventh church to incorporate in this fellowship. We anticipate the marvelous things God is doing in our midst and we are committed to provide a place were you can be yourself and experience a faith community that is relevant to your life in the 21st century.
We believe that God's desire... for our lives is to know the unconditional love of God calling us to partner with the Holy Spirit to offer the experience of transformation! We covenant with each other to learn, live and teach the first two commandments proclaimed in the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ: to love ourselves, which in turns allows us to love our neighbors and to love our God. We are made aware that God's promises are as true and mighty today as when they were first proclaimed to humankind -- that if you will be my people, I will be your God (Leviticus 26:12). We are dedicated to creating a ministry centered culture through the commitment of shared responsibility that in turn creates trusting relationships of love, respect and appreciation for the diversity of our humanity.
We invite the... gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and allied community to meet around God's open and abundant table to experience: worship that celebrates and lifts the soul, fellowship that unites our hearts, service that transforms our faith into action, outreach that connects us to the community and beyond, spiritual development that affirms the call and ministry of each person, and leadership that guides us into tomorrow.
